Entertainment And Activities It may be hard to believe but the show by the Blue Man Group actually exceeds NCLs hype! It was the most unique (... yes Im using that word again... ) and professional act Ive seen on any cruise ship. Thoroughly funny and entertaining I would rather see that show night after night than to sit through some of the same old \"Broadway song-and-dance\" shows Ive seen on so many other cruise ships. The Blue Man performance was in the ships main theatre which considering the size of the Epic was relatively small (with a seating capacity of under 600 people). However despite that fact the theatre was not \"packed\" because consistent with NCLs concept of \"Freestyle Cruising\" the Epic was designed with multiple entertainment venues each offering a different show.
Cruises offer great value for your vacation dollar however many families are not sure what to expect on a cruise vacation. Many individuals mainly consisting of parents believe that cruises are not suited for kids but that is simply not true. If you are the parent of a child under the age of twelve you may be questioning whether or not they ought to accompany you on your next cruise. That is since a big number of cruise lines have tailored their cruise ships to children of all ages including those under the age of twelve. You are encouraged to keep cruise line activities in mind if you have yet to schedule your cruise ship booking. The activities for kids under the age of twelve will differ from ship to ship. That is why it is necessary that you analyze each ship before making a decision. Regardless of the fact that activities will vary from ship to ship there are numerous activities geared towards children under the age of twelve which can be discovered on almost all modern cruise ships.
I was invited to attend the exclusive 2-night (July 2 - 3 2010) pre-inaugural sailing for NCLs newest and largest ship the Norwegian Epic. Departing from NY City the sailing began with the ships naming ceremony which was hosted by comedian Jeff Garlin and featured the ships godmother Reba McEntire. Adding to the festivities was the Macys 4th of July Fireworks show which was broadcast live from the Epic on national television (WNBC). It included musical performances by Justin Bieber Enrique Iglesias and LeeAnn Rimes. As I have experienced many times in the past the folks at NCL really know how to throw a party! But lets focus on their new ship the Epic.
You cannot use the yacht commercially. This cuts off a potential revenue source. This is a well built little Pocket Cruiser. At just over 320 in length overall it is a small cruise ship. Many experienced cruise passengers prefer smaller more intimate cruise ships for a variety of reasons. This ship can go places where the big cruise ships cannot reach such as shallow draft ports and even many rivers. It has an omni-directional bow thruster and can turn on a dime (relatively speaking of course). I have carefully examined this ship from the engine log to the ultrasound hull report. This is a sound and safe little cruise ship. It is also a very fuel efficient and economical ship. My first time on this ship was in the middle of the summer in Greece when it was very hot outside. The ship is fully air conditioned and it was cool and comfortable inside the ship. I checked the engine room to see how many generators were running.
